1 ¾ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup sugar
½ cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ cup shortening
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
48 Chocolate Kisses
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Combine all ingredients except Chocolate Kiss into a large bowl. Mix until dough forms. Shape a rounded teaspoon of dough into a ball. Roll ball in sugar and place on ungreased cooking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from oven and place 1 Chocolate Kiss into the center of each cookie until cookie cracks around the edges. Makes 48 cookies.
